Graphic designer and designer David King, who passed away in 2016, collected documents throughout his life on the history of the USSR from the October 1917 revolution to Nikita Khrushchev. The collection is a visual history of the USSR, acquired by the Tate Collection and distributed by our Agency.

The graphic and textual works collected by David King are a testament to the revolutionary uprisings of 1917, the Russian civil war, industrialisation in Russia, the Stalin era, and the heroic fight of the Russian people against the Nazi invasion in the “great patriotic war”. His collection brings to life the protagonists of the Russian Revolution - Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin - and the millions of men and women who experienced communism and the Great Stalinist Purge first hand.
